At the same time, EVNSPC also additionally invested and put into operation two generators, bringing the total available capacity of diesel power source in Con Dao to 4,340 kW, double the previous capacity.
Before August 2012, Phu Quy island district was supplied with electricity from Phu Quy diesel plant with a total capacity of 3000 kW, providing electricity for 16 hours/day. By August 2012, Phu Quy wind power consisting of 3 turbines of 2000kW/turbine was put into commercial power generation and by July 2014, the power supply on Phu Quy island was carried out 24 hours/day.
